The Bible presents its heroes "warts and all." It reminds us that we are all fallen creatures in need of God's mercy and grace. The life of faith is not always a straight, upward line, but often a journey marked by victory, failure, and restoration. God demonstrates amazing patience and grace in forgiving us and still using us despite our flaws and missteps. We see that failure doesn't have to be the defining feature of our life's story and it doesn't disqualify us from being used by God. God knows our weaknesses and still chooses to work with us and make something special of our lives.
